Someone has already mentioned the casinos on the MS coast in Biloxi
and Gulfport. You'll also pass by several casinos in Louisiana - the
most convenient to I-10 being the two casinos in Lake Charles (Isle
of Capri and La Berge Du Lac (sp????). Avoid the numerous "truck
stop" casinos in Louisiana with their hideous video poker games,
unless you just feel compelled to donate some money to the state
treasury.
As for spending the night in a casino parking lot - do you have a
trailer or motorhome, or do you just plan to sleep in the car? :-)
I have no idea what casino policy is for people spending the night in
a motorhome or camper in their parking lot. I suppose you'll just
have to call and ask.
Some of the casinos on the Mississippi coast have indoor parking
garages and not much if anything in the way of open lot parking - so
a motorhome is not very practical for these particular places. The
Grand in Biloxi and Hard Rock Casino fall into this category. The
Beau Rivage also has a garage, but I think they may have an open lot
across the street for oversize vehicles. The IP has a small open
lot, but I wouldn't recommend spending the night there - it's not in
one of the better parts of town. I'd also be a bit wary of staying
at the Boomwown and Palace parking lot. The Isle of Capri may be
reasonably safe. Treasure Bay is OK. The Island View casino in
Gulfport is probably OK. Further west, Hollywood casino in Bay St.
Louis used to actually have an RV park - perhaps they still do.
