At a California casino I have watched many people playing $5 DDB who hold as
many honor cards as they can. AKJ offsuit, AQ offsuit, you name it. One
woman never saw a suited AT that she didn't fall in love with. I try to
appear sympathetic when they moan and groan about all the money they shovel
into the machine since the last time they hit the Aces. Actually I'm very
happy, since their poor play ensures that the machines are profitable for
the casino.
