Theo is used to determine your comps at most casinos. The casino multiplies their advantage (usually using actual results rather than the game's ER) by your coin in to determine the theoretical amount they'll make from your play. That figure (your theoretical loss) is then multiplied by their comp rate which varies from place-to-place. Naturally, the higher the casino's advantage the more you'll receive in comps.

This is an important thing for video poker players to consider when selecting a machine. If two game's are identical in terms of pay schedules, say FPDW and both on quarter machines, you should select the multi-game machine with games that have big house advantages. (Keno, Lion Fish and Lucky Lucy are good examples--but even playing the best video poker game on a multi-game device is good for more comps.)
