They were doing their job, observe and report. Security guards are put there
to be a deterrent. And anyway would you commit suicide badly outnumbered by
guys with bigger guns than you are allowed to have. When I first moved to
Vegas I worked as a slot floorman at Railroad Pass. They had me act like a
security guard when the security guard was having lunch. "Follow the guy with the
money cart and look angry."
