This message is in response to those of you who play in
casinos that have never heard of a federal form W-9,
Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification.
Click on the link below and print the form. Then, bring the
form with you when you play.
If the casino does not already offer this option for proving
your SSN, you can fill it out and hand it to them.
BTW, by signing the W-9, you not only certify your SSN is
correct. You also certify that you are not subject to federal
tax back-up withholding. So, they should not withhold
anything from your winnings (for federal taxes).
