Re: [vpFREE] Casino social distancing guidelines

Everyone everywhere seems to be struggling with how to handle couples -- I've been places where they only allow one of you in at a time, and others where it's fine to come in together.  I was adding my wife's name to our car title at the BMV (appointment required, but wait outside the building until they call you), and they made her stay outside -- until they needed her signature and ID, and then I had to go out and get her, which was then OK.  Oh, and everyone working for the BMV had a mask on, except the boss who was running around the entire room telling everyone when it was their turn.  Bottom line, good experience, but some inconsistencies noted.

To some extent, this reminds me of 9/11 -- I resumed travel as soon as the planes were allowed to fly.  The first flight I took, they had me open my umbrella that was in my carry-on, never have figured out what that was about - I suppose I might have had a rifle in it.  I couldn't leave our bags at the curb with my wife while I parked the car and then came back to help her bring them in.  The pilot, in line in front of me, had a nail clipper that they took, broke off the file part, and returned to him.  We've probably all seen various kinds of nonsense in response to problems with security / safety in different venues, and the solutions don't always make much sense.

And of course, none of the rules in society are really rules anyway, unless (1) you get caught and (2) someone enforces it or penalizes you.

Crazy world, and getting crazier all the time.

I think that the objective was to allow couples to play side by side, but the execution seems wrong.

I do not understand what is happening

Santa Fe Station has removed the seating from every other machine, but the machines remain in service.

There is nothing to prevent someone from standing at, or moving a chair to, the machine next to you and playing

If this is "legal", they might just as well not have any guidelines other than 50% occupancy
