From: maximumbett@yahoo.com - "So my questions are: Could I please
hear from some of you as to how much coin-in is required to get one
Boyd Tier Credit on video poker? In Vegas? At other recently
acquired Boyd properties? What are the requirements for one Boyd Tier
Credit on slots or table games? What are the coin-in requirements for
earning B Connected points? Since Boyd changed their system in
September, has it been advantageous for ANYONE--maybe slot players?"
Max, the formula to calculate the coin-in per tier credit on video
poker was posted here -

appears Boyd is trying to get 50c of theo per tier point.
99.17% BP = 0.50 / (1-99.17%) = $60 coin in per tier point
99.54% jacks = 0.50 / (1-99.54%) = $109 coin in per tier point
99.73% NSUD = 0.50 / (1-99.73%) = $185 coin in per tier point"
It takes $5 coin-in per tier credit on reels and video reels according
to a card they handed out in Las Vegas. This card front and back is in
the Miscellaneous photo album here. It also says that it takes $2
coin-in to earn one BConnected point on video poker and $1 coin-in
for reels and video reels.
I have confirmed the video poker tier credit and BConnected point
rates in Las Vegas and as far as I know they are supposed to be the
same at all the BConnected properties throughout the country.
