Did you "register" for that promotion on the kiosk? The paper today said to do that to earn the Ruby 2x tier bonus.

I started with 152 tier points when we were blessed with Boyd's new system. My understanding is that qualifies me as Ruby and posts have said I should get 2x tier points for the first 100 tier points I earn under the new system. I earned 8 tier points on slots in August. I got 8 tier points, not 2x like the posts say [It should be noted that I never expect to earn 750 tier points during my lifetime.] I note they advertise 2x tier points for Ruby during the month of September.
The 5.5x someone was told they will earn on Labor Day reflects, I believe, the effective point multiplier for each $1 played on video poker as the 11x is earned for each $2 coin in playing video poker.
What is amazing to me is how little explanation of how the system works has been communicated to the people who play in their casinos, their customers [who they probably have labelled something else in their private discussions.] They must have spent a very long time determining theoretical for each machine and game and have their techs determining how to program the machines [assuming it will work as they say]. If the techs can do this then why, at least at Sam's Town, haven't they been able to figure out for many many years why the ticket system in their machines locks down every now and then and all cash outs are by hand which takes hours for players to get paid off?
