Which type of points are those Bconnected or Tier ?

My wife and I are both Emerald card holders and we played at Gold Coast this morning. It appears that you get one point for two dollars played and when we got home I looked at our total points and we received 1 1/2 times the points earned instead of three times as before. I haven't seen this published anywhere at the casino or on line.
