If you value higher/better comps-- you both may want to
play on one perosn's card.  I know you said you both have your
own gambling budget but. . . like Jean said--things aren't
what they used to be. . . .maybe one of you could be primary
for Harrahs/Caesars and one of you could be primary for
MGM--altho MGM is "easier" because it allows you to link
your accounts.  Just a thot--considering the "new" attitudes.

"Fairness" has never been a strong suit with casinos.  And now it is almost a completely gone concept.  Bean counters can't see anything but the bottom line.  I wish I could give you specific info about specific casinos, but, even if I knew it - which I don't - it would probably change before you could use it.  It is usually still better to have individual accounts and you can "hope" for separate and equal offers, but the marketing computers will often skip giving an offer to the second person with the same address.  Some couples use two different addresses - and sometimes that works.
If you are local, you might have better luck - Brad and I mostly get the same offers, if we play the same amount. That is true for the monthly mailers, but occasionally only one of us will get some special one-time offer.  For out-of-towners, I'm not sure how that is working these days, but I know some couples put more play on one card to get higher comps, especially for rooms.  Others who play higher might have a host that will combine their play to give them more comps despite lower marketing offers.
Sorry I can't be more helpful but today's Vegas just isn't like the good old days!!! :(

hello Jean,

After long absence from Vegas we have discovered new (what seems to be)  rule on promos.
Reestablishing our history at properties, I have my own card and wife has her own card. She has her
gambling budget and I have mine. We don't know what each other spends, nor do we care.

We play using our separate accounts.   Here's the rub.  I drift into a casino get card.   Few days later
wife & I visit & she gets card.  I'm off to trade show & she plays heavy.  Since name and address are the same (Even though different accounts)   most offers from casinos are to me,  even when she plays more.  She  feels real bad when they ignore her.

After many years of play at Taj in AC, she is accustomed to getting suite offers for July 4th weekend,  New Years Eve and others.  I would get exact same and we  would use both offers frequently.  More than once my better half is ignored for offers.    Of course we both think it's unfair.

Jean, are we thinking clearly here?

Have a good Sunday .........Jeep
