The most direct route would be Up Swenson to Paradise and then across Flamingo.
You got long hauled by the $30 driver. This is a very common practice by Las Vegas Cabbies.
I would never get in a Las Vegas cab again.
My last trip I used Uber and Lyft and was extremely pleased with the results.
Generally speaking they were half the cost of a cab.
With Uber or Lyft you download the App set up your account with a credit card and then you just tell it where you
want to go and it will assign a driver and tell you how much and how long and will give you the name of the driver and their picture and the licence plate number of their vehicle.
Tip all drivers what you think they are worth. I usually give 15% if they are nice and helpful.
I never tip a driver from a rental outfit.
Regards
A.P.

Subject: [vpFREE] Airport to Palms taxi charge , not consistent
about 11 pm in evening, cab fare from airport $30
about 11pm evening, cab fare to airport $19.80
Same time at nite, yet 50% more $$.
$30 guy he rook me "best way", after I ask about circling thru a maze of highway ramps. Tuesday arrival.
$19,80 guy went through strip and was cheaper. Wednesday depart . Very friendly too.
What is best route to Palms?
How do we use Uber? Is it cheaper or better.
How much do we tip cab driver?
How much do we tip rent a car pick up driver, for enterprise, couple blocks away?
