When the Plaza Tax Day promotion hit the internet forums some local Las Vegas pros got miffed about it. They didn't want the information out there. The Wizard of Odds analyzed the promotion for $5 video poker and put the information up on his forum. The $5 video poker then was quickly disqualified from the promotion. But there were still things to play that the local pros won't tell anybody about.
So I'm sitting up here in Montana. I haven't been in the Plaza in nine years. I have no idea what is on their casino floor these days. And I had absolutely no intention of going down to the promotion. But I just got to thinking about what I would look for in the place if I was there.
I thought about 20 card keno. Maybe I could load all the tickets with the same numbers. Like on a 4-spot where the solid four payed 80 for 1. A $15 bet would pay $1200 when the solid four comes in. A frequency of 326.4. And I would get $336 in freeplay for the hit.
I thought about 3-coin $5 denom three reelers that had a payoff of 80 for 1.
Then someone who has a habit of putting up screenshots of his big hits put up a picture of a video line game called Max Action. This guy is a known Las Vegas local pro and was probably at the Plaza on Tax Day. The picture might even be from the Plaza.
In Spin Poker, when you hold a pair, you can hit a 1,2 or 3-way quad. It depends on the position of the cards you held and the position the cards land in on the draw. Many video line games operate the same way. In the old days they were just 5 liners and 9 liners. Today some of them have 50 lines and even 100 lines. They operate the same way as Spin Poker. You can make multi-line hits.
Here is the picture of the slot game. It's called Max Action, it's $1 denom and max bet is $40. It looks like a forty line game to me.

I watched about 18 minutes of this game being played on youtube. But that game is just penny denom. There was one hit for 1460 coins. On dollar denom that would get a W-2G and $409 freeplay at the Plaza on Tax Day.
If I found this game at the Plaza leading up to Tax Day I would go find a penny version and run action to get an idea of how often you make a hit that pays 30 for 1 or more in relation to the $40 bet.
