This proposed IRS rule is gambling death for old geezers (like myself). Anybody that is getting SSI or SS or Medicare is now going to think twice before playing 25 cent 2's wild. I am not in that group yet but I could be very soon. It would also hurt the gambling in states that withhold on W2G's. It would kill Mississippi as your 3% you "give" to Mississippi on a W2G is not considered a gambling win by Mississippi (where you would be entitled to deduct gambling losses against such win) and is lost forever. Bye bye to many 25 cent video poker players.
