If a machine offers auto-hold, I believe it should be based
on proper (basic or optimal) strategy, unless otherwise
noted.
Of course, the auo-hold strategy COULD be a "most likely to
win (this hand)" strategy, as opposed to "highest
EV/return". I don't know the particulars of this situation,
but I would suspect something like that would be what's
going on.
