Re: [vpFREE] question about results after 2000 hands of Jacks o r Better

Noti please stop making excuses for why the machines are holding more. To everyone out there please be very careful with your holds. If you never push the draw button until you are 100% sure of your hold (check that hold is shown for every card you want held and not for cards you wish to discard), you will drastically cut your error rate. So what if you cut down on your hands per hour - I myself would rather win slowly than lose fast. There may be a more diabolical explanation for the higher win rates by the machines (I hope not however) - cheating. Please do not take this lightly or try to convince yourself that this would never happen. In New York State and Washington cheating machines are mandatory. And who here doesn't remember American Coin? That happened in Nevada!! As Carl Sagan would have said there are billions and billions of ways of cheating. One way: when you're supposed to get a royal the machine internally flips a coin, "heads" you get the royal and "tails" you get another fifth card. This takes about 1% from you and is hard to detect. Maybe "only" 2% percent of the machines cheat: 98% of the time you're playing an honest machine but 2% of the time you are getting destroyed by the cheating machines. I am not saying this is going on, after all I still play these machines. I am a bit worried however as I'm getting many more scares (last draw card a chance for a royal but you miss) between royals than I used to a few years ago.
