Everything you say about HR is correct. Up until one and half years ago, for 3+ years, HR was good enough for my wife and I to stop going to Las Vegas where we were RFB at Wynn. We live 30 minutes from the HR and we started to go several times per week. We had great hosts, we were comped rooms or suites whenever we asked, food, alcohol, private club, pet friendly, triple digit free play every week for each of us, and maybe best of all, great seats for the concerts at Hard Rock Live. Many, many gifts, etc.
We played 9-6 Jacks and 8-5 BP at $1/$2. Many Royals. It became the only casino we went to. But, (there's always a but isn't there?) then came management changes. The new director of Casino Marketing came in from the MGM Grand. Sayanarra to the good times. Our "casino divorce" has been final sine October 2013. Too bad.The facilities are great. The rooms are beautiful(ask for a pool view) the steakhouse is first rate, but the VP is mediocre, the hosts hands are tied, all of our old friends have gone.
We, like everyone else, have been through this several times. Caesars, Bellagio, even Wynn.
Someday, I'll tell the story of the bets we had on how long it would take Harrahs to completley screwup CP. Six months was the winning bet. About the amount of time it took to screw up the Hard Rock.
