The main reason I have avoided Rampart all these years was because I had read too many negative stories on this group about poor comp policies. If they run it like South Point they won't want to hand out any comps if you are winning.

Both have good games. My mailers from Rampart are decent for a local. Gaughan operates Rampart. Same as South Point. Could be worth a shot.

Well I'll put it to you this way. If they had games and comps and such that were better than what I was getting at all the places that I go to now, I'd suffer the hand pays, but I've never read about anything at either of these two places that would ever encourage me to try them out.

No one says you have to tip. Play the machine next to you while you wait and enjoy your royal!

I realize that, but I have no patience waiting for hand pays that are there only so staff can weasel tips, and waste my time.

They still would not generate a tax form.

Well that's two casinos that I have never been to, and with that information, I doubt that I ever will, Thanks.

>> When I pick up free play for somebody, I always play single line video poker for quarters and it will be 9/6 jacks or 8/5 bonus to reduce the volatility. I'm not aware of any casinos that do hand pays on this type of machine anymore unless it's an old coin dropper, and as long as it's not a progressive equal to or over $1200 no tax slips. <<
I have seen hand pays on single-line 25c royals ($1000) at both Rampart and Tuscany Casinos. Employees' desire for more tips overrides customer service there.
