You are correct. It's a wrong perception. Remember on spin poker when you convert trips you will always get more than 1 quad, so you don't convert as often but convert more when you do. In spin poker you have 15 spots where you can buy your 4th part of a quad. On 2 of these you will get 2 quads, on 12 you will get 3 quads, and on 1 you will get 5 quads, for an average of 3 quads.
The only thing that changes with spin poker is the volatility.

I am wondering if the numbers change for Spin Poker.  It seems like you don't turn trips into quads nearly as often as on straight line games, but that may just be a wrong perception.
