The High Roller is the new Monorail. Everyone other big wheel in other parts of the world is located where there is lots of open space so you have a good view in every direction. People want to be able to look down on the strip and watch people walking. The High Roller doesn't provide that. If they would have torn down the IP and put the wheel there is would have been a huge hit. Another great location would have been in front of Bally's where they are now putting in an open air bazaar. The fact is for much of the ride you are looking at the side of Bally's in one direction and back of the Quad, Harrah's, Venetian and Pallazo in the other.
