[vpFREE] Re: NCL Star Review and LAX limo company

Joining in with becksam's excellent advice ...

We tend to upgrade to a mini-suite (Deck 11 on the Jewel class ships) and our first assignment was beneath the pool deck, adjacent to the fitness room.  Nothing like being awakened by screeching deck chairs being arranged in the morning, "lulled" during the day by a rhythmic beat from the fitness room, and "cajoled" to sleep by one of their pool party bands.  (Most noise was reasonably muted, but annoying in aggregate.)

Ever since, we've consulted the website for likely available cabins with the best position on the ship.  Our favorite has been forward starboard, directly under the library.

After my first NCL "free" cruise in a room two floors beneath the casino where the smoke was awful, I always check the floor plan above and below. Easy to do if you pull up the site before you call to make reservations
