Yes you keep the kicker to trip 2s, 3,s or 4s. I also think that in 9-7 TDB You break up a FH with low trips + a pair of kickers (EG: From 333AA hold 333A) but keep the FH intact if no kicker (EG: Hold all from 333KK.)
