We've done NCL/Barcelona twice in the past year. All we found in Barcelona were tiny slot parlors all around town, no VP. I do believe there was supposed to be a larger "casino" along the river, but in the two weeks we spent there over those two trips we never took a taxi over there to check it out. I think one of the hop-on, hop-off tour bus routes goes right by it though.
We've been on the Epic 7 times, VP tables are poor such as 6-5 JOB, etc. Did see on our last trip a guy playing $25 single line and hit 2,000 credits on triple play single line for $20K. He always played $25 and thought he had hit $50K, but didn't notice it was on $10 at the time! In any event you have to just get lucky since the bad pay tables will kill you in the long run. Their casino is huge as it is over 1/2 the entire 6th floor, tons of slots and two large table areas (plus a 3rd high roller tables). They did introduce a new tier system April 1 of this year that works a lot like Caesars with specific benefits at certain play levels. The amount they comp off your cruse bill at the end is still discretionary so do get to know the casino hosts and you will get much more.
