[vpFREE] Re: Host at MGM (NOIR Status)

We made Noir early last year when they were on the continuous 12 month cycle (not calendar year). Then when they changed to specific dates (must make whatever level by 1 Oct), we made sure we had over the 1 million points. Went in a couple months later and we had been demoted to Platinum. Emailed our host, he never replied. Asked at the desk and they said everyone had been demoted as of 1 Jan and it was now by invitation only. We used up express comps and are not going back. It's really not fair to change the rules in the middle of the game.....

If you ask a hundred employees what the new requirement is you will get a hundred answers. Maybe it depends on your actual or theoretical loss? If so, that means if you play “good” video poker games, you may never play enough to be “invited.” There doesn’t seem to be exact property-wide requirements, and it is almost impossible to find out specific property guidelines. The slot club personnel almost never have an answer. Even the hosts don’t seem to know or aren’t allowed to tell you. Google “MGM Noir tier” and you will find a lot of discussion on this subject.
