No one knows everything. I certainly don't. In fact, most experts I know can take credit for discovering themselves only a small corner of their bag of tricks. Most successful techniques were someone else's idea. I read every word on gambling I can find, just on the chance of finding some little gem I didn't know.
John is obviously a smart guy, and probably knows a lot.
But he ain't sharing it. At least not in his articles.
He has every right to keep that knowledge to himself. Many members of this forum do the same, and I'm no different. What we don't do is publish 1000 word bland articles devoid of anything useful -- even for a beginner -- and then flog our "expert" books and materials. Anyone who can put a sentence together and run VPW can do that -- with or without a Ph.D. It's just an easy way to keep your name out there and make a few bucks without ruffling any feathers on either side. Real writers care more about being useful or interesting.
I particularly love how he uses up an entire paragraph to list -- in prose -- the entire pay table for TDB. Something wrong with a table? Not enough words?
