Noise is a common grifter distraction technique, maybe something else is going on, like someone's getting pickpocketed or someone's switching some bets or stealing some chips or spiking a drink or as Mickey says someone just wants your machine. Also someone screaming at something normal adults don't get so excited about is a sure sign of an overexcited meth tweeker. I've seen tweekers scream when the elevator starts moving, now in that confined space, that's loud, plus it leaves you wondering what's next with few escape paths.
