[vpFREE] Tea-bagged

Wrote a review yesterday about temporary buffet at Wing Lei at Wynn Las Vegas. This is a follow-up.

Bev & I went back with 5 friends to use up our dining credit & to share our wonderful experience from the day before. As I said yesterday I had a strategy to get even so I alerted my friends as to what to expect so they could focus on the better items. It was a good strategy as most went for the lobster tails & crab legs & were impressed by the quality. One lady was LV local who had gone with me last month to try out Caesars new Bacchanal buffet. Her opinion: even though this $15 more than Caesars $43 buffet, Wing Lei buffet was a better value. The other 4 were from LA & used to the best Chinese restaurants there. There were several comments of excellent quality & best-they've had. One petite lady who knows her crustaceans had 3 lobster tails & 3 crab legs commenting that his was very good.

One major quibble: drinks are not included. We ordered tea & were surprised by the bill which had a $35 charge on it. We asked & were told it was for tea of which we had several pots. They explained that it was a special very high-quality tea & I believe them because it was very good. They also said the normal charge is $11/person but we were given a break of $5per since we'd been there before. Due to the quality of the whole experience I accepted their explanation but they could have saved this bit of angst by explaining it up front when tea was ordered.

If you are looking for a premium buffet plus great atmosphere, I do recommend Wing Lei's temporary buffet above all others in spite of being tead-off.
