For my wife, the long term was 18 years. Until March of this year, she had never been dealt a Royal. Since March, she's been dealt three of them; two on the same machine. I've also been dealt three over that same time span (with several years between each hit). Fortunately, two of these were on 10-play (nickel) machines, so I "earned" 2K each.
