You actually don't "pay" for the extra $55 cost. If your 2% extra rebate on purchases doesn't reach $55, they credit you the difference at renewal. Be sure they give it to you!!

I wasn't aware that there was a difference between the regular membership
and the executive for car rentals. I've only used my executive membership
once for a car rental - last month in Vegas - and the cost was close to a
hundred bucks less than my usual rental for the same size car from Dollar.

Does anyone on the board use a Costco Executive membership? I have been
using my Costco Gold membership for Las Vegas rental cars with good results.
I'd like to know if the additional car rental discount of the Costco
Executive membership is worth the additional membership cost of $55 per year ($55
for Gold vs. $110 for Executive).
Thanks,
Don
