You're absolutely right about the security guard. I saw him of course but I suppose it didn't register. There is no safety issue in the sports book when deserted.
I am still ticked off though about LVH quoting me $1095 to stay in one of those balcony 29th floor suites, on a dead Tuesday night in August. I'm quite sure most of them were empty.
I ended up in a one bedroom balcony suite at the Riviera overlooking the pool. It was right out of 1975, all original bathroom fixtures and furniture. It was pretty neat.
