I've seen some criticisms over taking a baby to Lake Tahoe and I can't see why. I've been going there at least a half dozen times a year since 1994, and some of those trips were over the Christmas holidays with our infant grandchildren. We always stayed in a cabin at the Hyatt in Incline on the north shore when the family comes, but you stay anywhere with your family and you'll have fun there. I've seen plenty of babies being strollered thru the casinos, because I don't stare at machines all day. My only recommendation is that you bring or rent a car, for reasons already identified by others.

South Tahoe Express runs several buses a day between the Southshore Tahoe casinos and the Reno Airport. It's about $50 roundtrip. I used to spend a lot of time at the Lake. It's definitely a nice little casino vacation.
