Hey, Rod:
One of my later trip reports talked about us coming off a couple of
"near-disastrous trips" so, yes, we do feel the pain of playing DDB often, but it
just seems that overall 2012 has been a very, very lucky year for us.
I have to agree with your statement about aces with a kicker, though. We
seem to get that hand an extraordinary amount of times, but we do play a LOT
of hands!
With the two of us playing (and we both play fast, at least 700-800 hands
an hour) I'm sure we play thousands of hands during the course of a
weekend, so we're bound to hit aces a few times. Getting them as often as we do
with kickers... and even DEALT with kickers ... has been the uncanny part of
our story.
And, I have to agree with something else you wrote. Hedy, indeed, is quite
an attractive lady! I consider myself a lucky man in more ways than one!
Regards,
CoachVee
<Hey Coach,
I'm the guy who wrote some time back to say (tongue planted firmly
in cheek) that you are the only one I know who "never, ever, loses".
I just came from your site and the report on the Easter Miracle trip.
You started off by trying to explain that you do have losing sessions
but try to keep them to a minimum. Having written that you then
proceed to relate getting aces with a kicker more times in a day than
I've had in the past ten years, how your wife is able to order up a
royal with a whimsical command to the machine (complete with photo -
attractive lady, by the way), getting dealt aces with kicker and
getting 5 of a kind on Joker.
Yep.............. now I've taken my tongue out of my cheek, and
firmly believe my previous statement. Only question I have now is why
in the world aren't you and Hedy playing $100. machines? Probably
afraid to force too many houses out of business, eh? Then what would
you do for walking around money?
