>>My wife and I have been "down-towners" for the past 20 years and have
settled on the Fremont which we visit 3-5 times a year. We are extremely
impressed by the friendliness of the employees. We always use our B-Connected
slot cards and do 90% of our VP play at the Fremont although we do enjoy
visiting the Cal and Main Street which are within easy walking distance.
Normally we eat at the Fremont's Paradise Buffet for breakfast (try the omelets)
and dinner (two meals is all we can hold). Rooms are small but always
clean and fresh. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Fremont. Captjack47<<
I can agree with this about 99%...I personally think that the Fremont
buffet is only good if you can get it free.
I also have tried to funnel about 90% of my Las Vegas play to the Boyd
casinos...I've scraped my way up to Sapphire and continue to get the three
free nights a month (I was able to get the free nights even during the week of
CES) plus the $20 food credit. You can't beat the Fremont for
convenience...last trip down there, the total time from vehicle drop off at Valet,
through check in, and up to the room was a total of 5 minutes. I've had a
couple of issues with the air handling in the rooms they've given me the last
two trips, but it's been fixed in a timely manner once I got around to
reporting it. People shouldn't stay there and expect fancy strip resort
accommodations, but it's got everything I need.
As long as the keep those FP Pick 'Em/Pick-a-Pair machines around, the
Fremont's where I'll spend most of my time.
