[vpFREE] Re: Odyssey VP video

About 12 years ago Odyssey manufactured 4 play machines in FP Deuces and 4700 Joker in quarter and dollar. These machines were installed at least at the Fiesta and Arizona Charlie's (original locations). Since multi-line machines reduce volatility for the same total amount bet (e. g., quarter on 4 line vs. dollar single play), quarter players flocked to the the quarter machines due to reduced risk.

Unfortunately IGT held a patent on multi-line games and prevailed in a lawsuit prohibiting Odyssey from putting out the machines. Odyssey seemed to disappear after that, although I don't know whether they were acquired by IGT or went out of business.
