Theres no substitute for some serious knowledge of the mathematics of gambling-and making correct decisions based on the math. I think this is the one area that all the very best AP's have in common. They don't have to play follow the leader. They cut their own trail. They find plays the average AP doesn't.

In the forward to his book "A Brief History of Time" Stephen Hawking stated he was told by other astro-physicists that if he put one equation in the book it would cut sales in half. That's a reality I think video poker writer/theorists also face.

I think there is suffecient information out there that a person can do fine without in-depth knowledge of the math. But the very very best AP's are gambling math professionals from hell.
