Dice-setting is a fantasy. It goes against the laws of physics that a human being could throw the die at the same velocity into the same cones at the same angle after arranging them in his hands the same way every time--or even more than once a shooting session without doing it by mistake.
Some dice crews respond to supposed "setters" and some don't, and the reason some do is not because the practice has any skill validity associated with it; It's simply because word got out after someone decided to dream up the idea and write a book on the practice SO THEY COULD MAKE SOME MONEY OFF THE SALES--big surprise.
I have a good friend at Mandalay Bay who's always telling me that he at times tries to rattle the wannabee "dice-setters" just to have fun with them and watch how they react. They have no policy on it like they do card counters because it is not a threat.
