Actually, this is not a big shock to me. Harrah's has apparently decided on a "no more playing on other each other's cards" policy. How strictly they enforce this rule probably varies by casino and by personnel involved. You seem to have experienced the extreme end of the rule enforcement. A while back, at another HET property, a security guard appeared from nowhere and asked me why I was playing on someone else's card. I pulled out the card and told him something like "I guess I put my wife's card in by mistake". I didn't get 86'd or anything like that, but he told me I had to quit playing on her card right then, which I did. This happened after literally years of playing on my wife's card (and vice versa) with no problems at all. I have also heard of people recently getting barred from HET casinos by getting caught running their spouses free play.
