Well don't confuse a humorous turn of phrase with a serious scientific theory. I was going for cute, not accurate. Yes we will have a lot to talk about in the coming weeks.
To give you something to think about, my definition of "math" appears to include and overlap your definition of "luck"...and your definition of "luck" has little to no overlap with my definition of "luck".
In the last few weeks I've been trying to highlight some of the more extreme differences in how people can perceive and interpret identical information. Between this forum and the others I've now received 12 distinct definitions for the word "today".
With a word like "luck" or "lucky" you'll find even more variation.
The path to mutual understanding is not going to be an easy one, but I'm committed to walking it regardless of the destination.

Reality? The math is there allright--but it's always on the side of the casinos. Without a doubt. Just take a look up at all the buildings in & around LV, then try and keep up with all the promotions and giveaways going on non-stop around town.
Yes, when you go up against the math, you are not going to win without a whole lot of luck.
