I do the same thing. I always play my free play out on a 25c 9/6 JoB single-line. I just play the minimum number of hands to cash it out. At the particular casinos I go to, they do not count the free play into the comp/coin-in equation, as you do not earn points on the free play. (So I usually "wash it", then start play my coin-in amount with whatever money I brought PLUS that "washed" money)
