I once had a big Spin Poker play at the Hotel Nevada in Ely (pronounced E-lee, don't tick off the locals). It's a fun game and I applaud the designer(s). It's a perfectly symmetrical game and there are some interesting aspects. Here are a few things I remember:
You can make either a 1-way, 2-way, 3-way, 5-way, or 9-way Royal. The only way to make the 9-way is to flop the Royal.
Position counts in Spin Poker. The only way to make the 5-way is to be dealt a 4-Card Royal with the discard being in the third position. Then you have to catch the 5th Royal Card on the center line.
When holding two Royal Cards, the only way you can make a THREE WAY ROYAL, is the two Royal Cards have to be in the 2nd and 4th positions, then you have to catch the other three royal cards straight across the center line.
When holding only one Royal Card, no matter what position, the most you can make on the draw is one Royal.
