The alternative is unthinkable, so my glass HAS to be full and I have to be optimistic. But I'm not stupid, Jigger. I know history, and what I see happening today is quite alarming. If you are not alarmed, then for whatever reason, whether it be youth, plain generic ignorance, or whatever, then you just don't know. What is it that makes you so "fairly certain we'll be alright"? A hunch? A gut feeling? rotflmao! It's a privilege to be in a country where you can afford to be blissfully ignorant of the past. Lucky you!
