Yes, I would count that as a miss, but you can make your own rules about how to count "misses" or "scares". Whatever works for you.

I like to count quad scares as I play because it's entertaining and keeps me focused on the game. I increase the count one for every card that comes after trips show up whether it's on the deal or the draw. I start the count over when I finally do get a quad.

Bob Dancer had an article a few years ago in either Strictly Slots or Casino player magazine that explained how he counts scares. It would be great if this article could be made available.
