Outstanding is an understatement, Frank! It'll go down in video poker history as an all time classic. I now suffer no delusions of grandeur that I'm gonna write a pro secrets book. I'm a little older than you. I remember The Who not wanting to play behind Jimmie Hendrix at the Monterey Pop Festival. Well, I'm not gonna play behind you either.
First, I cut right to the chase and went to Chapter 7. Then I went to Chapter 9. The similar situations we've been in is eerie, especially at Harvey's up at the Lake. I'm gonna get myself bogged down in the math chapters next. This old dog ain't too old to learn some new math tricks.
I developed a lot of my own technique but I started out by reading, reading, reading everything video poker that was available back in the day. I started out with Paymar's Precision Play and Best of Video Poker Times. I learned poker and keno math from John Scarne. I went from there.
One time I was in the downstairs bar at the Regency in Laughlin. A man at the bar asked me what I did for a living.
"I'm a professional gambler" I said. He gave me the typical cynical stare that so many have given me when I give them the honest answer. He thought for awhile then asked
"What does it take to be a professional gambler?" he asked.
"Education" I said. He busted out laughing.
"Education" he laughed as he walked away.
He was your typical skeptic. Since he can't do it, it can't be done.
More later, but....Yo, Frank! You better let me play the machine this time. I'm due-er than you. And don't forget to save the rubber band.
