My apologies to our esteemed Administrator and the group. I'm not getting them so perhaps I need to check my settings. 

Would it be helpful if messages were sent to both groups so you don't have to forward them?

The group is still using the Yahoo Groups platform. It has not moved
to Google Groups yet. Until it moves over there you won't receive
emails from the Google Groups address.

That's not correct. All Yahoo Group posts by me are going to both
groups automatically. Posts by other members are being forwarded
manually by me.
