While some reasonably might disagree, I'm all for "an abundance of caution" when it comes to coronavirus. The sporadic reports of incidents where there's no clear evidence of how infection occurred gives me concern about just how communicable the disease may be prior to evident symptoms. (I grasp that it's been stated that such contact isn't a primary transmission mechanism ... it's just the one I find most worrisome.)
Bev's Boston employer, along with other local pharma cos, are also exercising caution. Her workplace has closed except for a skeleton crew, all others to work from home the next 2 weeks ("home" in this case being GA, while we're still transitioning. (It may be a broken record, but Bev's now living in our new MA home ... I'm still "prepping" in GA.) Just returned from the airport w/ Bev.
Still, you have to ask if workplaces start clearing employees out this early in the outbreak (and casinos are starting to take serious actions to stem transmission), how long will such measures be necessary?

Subject: [vpFREE] MGM buffets close Sunday in Vegas
Although there are only 2 corona virus cases in Las Vegas area so far (2 more near Reno), out an abundance of caution MGM announced all their buffets will close as of Sunday. Caesars says theirs are open but they have new cleaning. No word yet from other properties. So far no one in casino industry has tested positive, but if they do, one could guess that casinos might close. MGM says situation is "temporary" and will be assessed each week. No word on what will happen to affected casino employees.
Meanwhile I and hubby still plan to go to Gold Coast buffet on Sunday, albeit with colorox wipes and maybe gloves on hands, until we see more cases and real likelihood of contagion. After all we have a mailer for 2 free buffets a week!
