After the recently announced Yahoo changes (appended below)
occur, it appears that all of vpFREE's message archives,
photos, files and all other web page assets will be deleted,
and that Yahoo's only function will be the receiving and
forwarding of individual emails (no digests) to vpFREE
members.
Yahoo may automatically change all members to individual emails,
or they may not. If you are already receiving individual emails, you
don't have to do anything.
However, If you are currently receiving vpFREE digests or no vpFREE
mail, you should change to individual emails by sending a
blank message to "vpFREE-normal@yahoogroups.com" (sending it
from your vpFREE address of record), or you can go to the
vpFREE website:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/vpFREE/info
and make the change there by editing your membership.
Starting in 2007, I've been archiving vpFREE messages on my
computer and since the announcement I've downloaded to my
computer all of vpFREE's message archives, photos and files.
I had hoped to put the message archives on a searchable web
page (as I've done for smaller groups I'm involved with),
but the vpFREE message archive file is so huge (over 130,000
messages totaling over 144 megabytes) that my html editor
can't handle it, and I'd rather not break it up.
I'll also be downloading all message archives, photos and files from
the regional/sub vpFREE groups.
I'm trying to decide what to do with everything I've downloaded and
I'm looking into several options for making these downloads
available to vpFREE members.
Current messages (starting 10 October) are being archived, and
are accessible to anyone (no joining the group required) at:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/vpfree-archives
The link will appear at the bottom of all vpFREE messages.

How can I keep my Yahoo Groups content?
Photos and files can be saved right from the Yahoo Groups
site, or you can download your data from the Privacy
Dashboard.
Will I be able to use Yahoo Groups going forward?
You'll still be able to communicate with your groups via
email and search for private groups on the site. In
addition, admins will continue to have limited access to
