Thanks to all for the comments.  I will look at those mentioned and some others (e.g., South Point, Red Rock) as possibilities.  Hopefully, by the time I get there, the grasshoppers will be long gone.

Four Queens is a casino that gives a good deal to gamblers - video poker selection, cashback and comps. And a lot of players like the Palms and Palace Station at least partially due to their recent casino renovations.

Over the past few years I have spent most of my time at the Gold Coast and the Westgate.  I come out from the East Coast about five times a year for six days, three days at each place.
