Unfortunately I've had about 50% of the Walmart gift cards that are very difficult to use. For some reason the magnetic strip is unreadable. Once this occurs, using them becomes a slow process involving a supervisor's manual intervention at the cashier. Also those cards cannot be used at the self-checkout lanes.
I don't think the mag stripe problem was caused by me. The 10 cards I received were stored together and subjected to the same conditions.
