[vpFREE] AYCE Passover buffet at Palms

We went today because there was an ad in the newspaper saying there would be Passover specialties from the 19th to the 27th, including matzo ball soup, chopped chicken livers, brisket, chicken, tZimmes (whatever they are), kugel, honey loaf cake, and macaroons. They had this menu last year and the chopped liver was delicious and I really wanted it.

DISAPPOINTMENT! Matzo balls were scarce, no kugel, no liver, no honey loaf cake, no macaroons. I complained to manager, and chef, and they said they had sent a different menu into corporate, and did not know about the ad. I ended up finding the ad at the Review Journal's website, because they didn't seem to believe me. Their apologies seemed half hearted, and no offer of a refund, until I showed them the ad. Then manager said fault was management, not her or the buffet, and gave me 4 $5 off coupons, saying I could use them all at once or with other discounts (note two of us were eating), however the coupons specifically say cannot be used with other discounts. So probably useless because I have President status and paying with points is half off.

It was very annoying, and I wasn't the only one complaining.

Seems like the problem is that Stations continues to treat Palms as the ugly stepchild, and some offers are good at all the casinos except Palms. This ad DID include the AYCE at Palms, but the two different paths for their casinos caused confusion.

I continue to wonder why they don't just roll the Palms into their full program. Even if they hope to bring a lot of strip customers in, as well as Nightclubbers, lots of locals also frequent the Palms. (And some strip customers stay at Palace Station, but it is treated like a regular Stations.)

Well at least today I got my revenge by hitting a W2...over 28000 NICKELS.....getting 2 royals (held 4 to royal) on 10 play nickel ultimate x, about $1440. (Of course when I used to play $1 and quarter Ultimate x, no such great jackpot. After years of losses I have cut way back on my gambling, and now when I play it is normally nickels and dimes...sad.)
