Slot club has changed. The earned comp account has been eliminated. The entire system has changed, at least for video poker. Everything appears to be based on machine theo. On one machine I was playing, tier credits were running about one for $5.30 played. Other machines required different amounts.
The slot club material states earned club dollars are now for free play or comps. The earning rate sounds similar to Boyd wording in that it depends on machine return and time played etc. Material at booth indicates rate also depends on card level. I noticed as I played, all on same machine, rate tended to vary over time from as low as 0.067% to as high as 0.088% by the end of the day.
