I enjoyed your info and report. I have a related question for the group which follows my bit of background information:
In Penn National's purchase of Pinnacle Entertainment, Boyd acquired four Midwest properties due to regulatory limitations placed on Penn. The one property that I am most familiar with--Belterra Casino Resort in southern Indiana--is a hot mess. What was a lovely property with an excellent host team is now staffed by a group of Sgt. Schultz clones--"I see NOTHING. I know NOTHING." (Those of you under 60 probably won't get that reference).
The Belterra computer system is seemingly run by demented Boyd elves. It hasn't functioned correctly since the systems were switched in mid-October. Slots and video poker machines don't seem to be correctly recording play, free play is not available as promised, and MANY people are having their Mycash (i.e., earned comps) deducted from their accounts to pay for "100% comped" rooms and meals.
There is an assumption most of us make that the casinos we play at are honest and accurately track our play. They may have games that give us no chance to win, but they are at least honest about it. That is no longer the case at Belterra. It's just a guess as to how much of your play was accurately recorded; how much of your Mycash/B Connected points were taken to pay for "free" things; how much coin-in will be required for one Boyd Tier Point.
Belterra's Mycash system was supposed to switch over to B Connected on 1-1-19. It now looks like that may happen sometime by March.
So my questions are: Could I please hear from some of you as to how much coin-in is required to get one Boyd Tier Credit on video poker? In Vegas? At other recently acquired Boyd properties? What are the requirements for one Boyd Tier Credit on slots or table games? What are the coin-in requirements for earning B Connected points? Since Boyd changed their system in September, has it been advantageous for ANYONE--maybe slot players?
Any help will be appreciated.
